Quinta do Crasto
Quinta do Crasto rises on the slopes of Gouvinhas, Sabrosa, in the heart of the Douro Valley, between Régua and Pinhão. ⛰️ It is a 135-hectare property, of which approximately 74 hectares are planted with schist soils that impart minerality and tension to the vines.
It belongs to the Roquette family, maintained for generations, with a philosophy that unites tradition and modernity.
The estate produces Douro wines (white, red, rosé), Port wines, and extra virgin olive oil, with a strong international presence: it exports about 40% of its production to 54 markets across 5 continents.
In the vineyards, traditional grape varieties such as Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Sousão, Syrah, and other noble varieties are cultivated, including old vines (some over 70 years old) that supply the Reserva wines and special parcel wines.
A visit to the Quinta is a complete experience: visitors tour granite wine presses, the cellar, barrels, terraced vineyards, and end the visit with a wine tasting on the terrace overlooking the Douro River. There is also a swimming pool designed by Eduardo Souto de Moura, which has become an icon on social media and in wine tourism publications.
The brand reflects the identity of the Douro: strong, elegant, expressive, and true to the place. Each bottle seeks to tell a story of the soil, the grape variety, and human labor—the result of rigorous selection and careful winemaking.
