Winemaking:
The grapes, sourced from old vines, were transported in plastic food crates and subjected to rigorous sorting upon arrival at the winery. After gentle crushing without destemming, they were sent to a traditional stone lagar where they were trodden by men at regular intervals. Subsequently, grape brandy was added, thus stopping fermentation.
Aging:
It remained in 9000-liter oak barrels for between 2 and 4 years.
Exam Grade:
With a vibrant ruby color, it presents an excellent harmony between balsamic notes and wild Douro berries. Very captivating and seductive, elegant with a compact structure of correct volume, round and fine tannins of great depth. It finishes fresh and persistent, with great elegance.
