Vieira de Souza
Vieira de Sousa is one of those Douro wine houses where history isn't "marketing"—it's a real heritage, passed down through generations. The family has been linked to Port wine for several generations, and today the project is run by the 5th generation, with Luísa and Maria Vieira de Sousa continuing the family legacy.
The grapes come exclusively from the family's estates, in a mosaic of terroirs along the Douro, covering approximately 60 hectares, which allows for the creation of different styles from year to year without losing the house's signature.
On the fortified side, Tawnies with age indications, Colheitas, and Vintage wines shine; on the DOC Douro side, there are white and red wines with a gastronomic profile—including "unoaked" editions and single-varietal wines that showcase another facet of the Douro.
