Vieira de Sousa Tinto Cão Douro Tinto 75cl is a wine from the Vieira de Sousa family, produced in the Douro region with a focus on expressing the terroir and elegance.
🌿 Vineyards: This Douro wine is produced with grapes from a single vineyard at Quinta do Roncão, next to the Douro River. This vineyard is located at a low elevation facing south, making it perfect for optimal ripening. VINIFICATION: We usually finish our harvest with Tinto Cão. The grapes are selected in the vineyard and quickly transported to the winery. They ferment with whole bunches in small lagares (traditional stone troughs) with very little extraction. Part of this batch is aged in oak barrels, while the other part remains in stainless steel.
