🍇 Region: Douro DOC
👨🔬 Winemaker: Pedro Sequeira
🌱 Grapes: 75% Touriga Nacional, 20% Touriga Franca, 5% Tinto Cão
🛠️ Winemaking: Hand-harvested, fermented in stainless steel tanks with gentle maceration for balanced extraction of color and tannins.
⏳ Aged: 18 months in 500L French oak barrels.
🌿 Vineyards: Old vines in Cima Corgo, between 280–500 m altitude, very low yields (around 20 hl/ha). Production limited to 1333 bottles.
🧪 Analysis:
- Alcohol content: 14% vol.
👃 Organoleptic Test:
- Color: Deep ruby.
- Aroma: Ripe red fruits, violet blossom, spice and a balsamic touch.
- Palate: Structured, with firm but polished tannins, long and elegant finish.
⏳ Potential for Development: 12–15 years.
🍽️ Serving suggestion: Ideal for game meat dishes, roast goat, and aged cheeses; serve at 17–18 °C.
