Casas Altas Touriga Nacional 2018 Beira Interior Red Wine 75cl

Casas Altas originates in Souropires, Pinhel, in the Beira Interior region, where high-altitude vineyards, granitic soils, and large temperature variations give rise to wines with a fresh, mineral, and gastronomic profile.

🍇 Region: Beira Interior, Pinhel sub-region.

🌱 Grape varieties: Touriga Nacional.

🌿 Vineyards: Plot located at approximately 700 meters altitude, in poor granitic soils with a large temperature range.

🛠️ Winemaking: Hand-harvested, selection of the best bunches, total destemming, pre-cold maceration, fermentation and long maceration with temperature control.

⏳ Aging: Brief aging in new French oak barrels, followed by aging in stainless steel and a minimum aging period in the bottle.

👃 Organoleptic Test:
- Color: concentrated ruby.
- Aroma: floral, black berries, spice, menthol and balsamic notes.
- Palate: structured, full-bodied, fresh and suitable for aging.

⏳ Potential for Evolution: Wine with altitude freshness and structure to evolve in the bottle, according to the profile of each variety.

🍽️ Serving: Serve at 16-18ºC. Ideal with red meats, game, roasts and cheeses.
