Casas Altas originates in Souropires, Pinhel, in the Beira Interior region, where high-altitude vineyards, granitic soils, and large temperature variations give rise to wines with a fresh, mineral, and gastronomic profile.
🍇 Region: Beira Interior, Pinhel sub-region.
🌱 Grape variety: Riesling.
🌿 Vineyards: Vineyards at approximately 700 meters altitude, in poor granitic soils and a climate with strong temperature contrasts.
🛠️ Winemaking: Hand-harvested, selected, gently pressed, naturally decanted for 48 hours, and fermented in stainless steel at 16ºC.
⏳ Aging: Aged in stainless steel with fine lees until bottling, preserving freshness and minerality.
👃 Organoleptic Test:
- Color: citrine.
- Aroma: citrus notes, minerality, and a subtle petrol-like evolution.
- Palate: delicate, fresh and with excellent aging potential.
⏳ Potential for Evolution: Wine with altitude freshness and structure to evolve in the bottle, according to the profile of each variety.
🍽️ Serving: Serve at 8-10ºC. Excellent with sushi, octopus carpaccio, fish and seafood.
