Casas Altas originates in Souropires, Pinhel, in the Beira Interior region, where high-altitude vineyards, granitic soils, and large temperature variations give rise to wines with a fresh, mineral, and gastronomic profile.
🍇 Region: Beira Interior, Pinhel sub-region.
🌱 Grape variety: Chardonnay.
🌿 Vineyards: Vineyards at altitude, around 700 meters, in poor granite soils in the Beira Interior region.
🛠️ Winemaking: Hand-harvested, selected, gently pressed, naturally decanted, and fermented in stainless steel at 16ºC with stirring of fine lees.
⏳ Aging: Aged in stainless steel until bottling, seeking volume, fruit purity, and acidity.
👃 Organoleptic Test:
- Color: citrine.
Aroma: ripe fruit and mineral notes.
- Palate: full-bodied, creamy, fresh, and with a long finish.
