Quinta de Santiago

Quinta de Santiago is located in Monção, in the Monção and Melgaço sub-region, and has belonged to the same family since 1899. For many decades, the estate operated with a broad agricultural focus, but the wine project with its own identity gained new life in the 21st century, when different generations of the family decided to transform the property into a boutique winery centered on authenticity and attention to detail.

Today, the winery produces small, meticulously crafted wines based on a micro-terroir of Monção with a strong affinity for the Alvarinho grape variety. The vineyards, planted in clay-loam soils with pebbles and on alluvial terraces, help explain the freshness, tension, and mineral expression that appear in several of the brand's wines. At the same time, Quinta de Santiago doesn't confine itself to a single formula and displays an unusual creative energy in the region.

This identity is seen both in the winery's more classic wines and in its parallel projects. The portfolio includes elegant and gastronomic Alvarinhos, sparkling wines, rosé, single-vineyard wines like Vinha do Pisco and Vinha do Chapim, and also more irreverent creations such as SOU, Rascunho, Cisma and the Santiago na Ânfora do Rocim partnership. The result is a brand that manages to be serious without being heavy, technical without losing its human side, and faithful to the territory without ceasing to experiment.
