Quinta dos Penassais' Grande Reserva Branco is a blend of old vines of traditional white grape varieties from the Dão region.
🍇 Region: Dão
👨🔬 Winemaker: Eng. José Carlos Oliveira
🌱 Grape varieties: Encruzado, Malvasia-Fina, Bical, Cerceal, Fernão Pires and Malvasia-Rei.
🛠️ Winemaking: Gentle vinification of the must in stainless steel tanks, with controlled temperature to preserve aromatic freshness.
⏳ Aging: Aging in bottles in a cool, dark place, with the bottles lying down, until reaching full maturity.
🌿 Vineyards: Vineyard on the right bank of the Dão River, mid-slope in São João de Lourosa, with southern exposure.
🧪 Analysis:
Alcohol content: 14% vol.
👃 Organoleptic Test:
- Color: Clear and bright white.
- Aroma: Exotic notes of flower and fruit, well-matched with the complexity of the blend of white grape varieties.
- Palate: Balanced, fresh and very harmonious, with excellent smoothness and persistence.
🍽️ Serving: Serve between 7ºC and 10ºC, excellent with fish and seafood, as well as white meats.
