Description
Doc Douro red wine produced with red wine grapes from Cima Corgo and Douro Superior, with an elegant and sophisticated profile.
🍇 Region: Doc Douro, Ervedosa do Douro (Cima Corgo) and Numão (Superior Douro)
👨🔬 Winemaker: André Pimentel Barbosa
🌱 varieties: 20% Touriga Nacional and 80% old vines
🛠️ winemaking: Temperature controlled fermentation with prolonged maceration.
⏳ stage: 12 months in new 300 liter Allier French oak barrels.
🌿 vines: Vineyards from 40 to 60 years old, in schist soils, with selected and hand-vinted grapes.
🧪 Analysis:
- Alcohol content: 13.8% vol.
- Total acidity: 5.2 g/l
- pH: 3.76
👃 Organoleptic test:
- Color: deep ruby
- Aroma: Intense, with notes of black fruit and shaft
- Mouth: silky, fresh and firm, with forest fruits and long and elegant finish
