Wine from the volcanic terroir of Pico Island, grown in vineyards near the sea and protected by basalt stone enclosures, which impart minerality and a very characteristic salinity.

🌱 Grape Varieties: Terrantez do Pico

🛠️ Winemaking: Fermentation in very old American oak barrels (traditionally used for Verdelho wines from Pico).

⏳ Stage: 6 months on fine lees.

🌿 Vineyards: Vineyards on Pico Island, in volcanic soils and under the direct influence of the Atlantic, with traditional protection provided by basalt walls (corrals).

🧪 Analysis:

• Alcohol content: 12.5% vol.

👃 Organoleptic Test:

• Yellowish-green color.
• Aroma with notes of grapefruit and peach, enveloped by light smoke and a volcanic character.
• A palate marked by firm acidity, a taut texture, and a very saline and mineral finish.

⏳ Potential for Evolution: Great aging potential, with positive evolution in the bottle.

🍽️ Serving: Serve between 10–12ºC. Excellent with raw/marinated fish, seafood, and dishes with citrus fruits.
