Quinta da Extrema is the most distinctive face of Colinas do Douro, exploring altitude, exposure and geological makeup to create wines of high precision.

🍇 Region: Upper Douro, in transitional soil between schist and granite.

👨‍🔬 Winemaker: Jorge Rosa Santos and Rui Lopes.

🌱 Grape varieties: Gouveio, Viosinho and Rabigato.

🛠️ Winemaking: Fermentation designed to respect the fruit and the purity of the terroir. The use of used and neutral barrels adds breadth without excessively marking the aromatic profile.

⏳ Aging: 500 L and 228 L French oak barrels, with additional bottle aging.

🌿 Vineyards: High-altitude plots in the Upper Douro, where the transitional geology imparts tension and minerality.

👃 Organoleptic Test:

• Color: citrine with good luminosity.
• Aroma: citrus, mineral notes and a subtle smokiness.
• Palate: full-bodied yet fresh, taut, long, and with well-integrated oak.

⏳ Potential for Evolution: White with guarding ability, gaining complexity and width over time.

🍽️ Serving: Serve between 10ºC and 12ºC. Excellent with roasted fish, cod, seafood rice, poultry, and creamy dishes.
