Description

Red doc from the Tagus of Vinha Velha, focused on the black Trincadeira casta and the identity of the terroir of Casa Cadaval.

🍇 Region: Doc of the Tagus.

👨‍🔬 Enologist: Peter Serene.

🌱 Castes: Black Trinny.

🌿 Vineyards: A bush was over 80 years old, in a sandy-sandy soil and a Mediterranean climate.

🛠️ Vinification: manual harvest; Cold extraction and fermentation in lagares for about 2 weeks.

⏳ Stage: About 12 months in used barrels of 500 liters of French oak.

🧪 Analysis:

  • Alcohol content: 13%
  • Residual sugar: <0.6 g/l
  • Total acidity: 5.36 g/l
  • pH: 3.63
