Description
The Casa Cadaval Trincadeira Preta Vinhas Velhas 2022 showcases the unique character of Casa Cadaval’s terroir. Harvested from vines over 70 years old, this red wine offers a distinctive aroma with rich fruit and spice notes, complemented by hints of dry leaves, cedar, and a balsamic touch. On the palate, it’s elegant and well-balanced, featuring excellent acidity and silky tannins that lead to a long, persistent finish.
Vinification and Aging:
Hand-harvested from bush-trained vines, the grapes undergo cold extraction followed by two weeks of fermentation in traditional lagares. The wine then ages for 12 months in 500-liter French oak barrels, preserving the unique identity of these old vines.
