Alorna Farm

With roots dating back to 1723, Quinta da Alorna is one of the historic estates of the Tejo region and an unavoidable name when discussing wine in Almeirim. The connection to the Alorna name dates back to D. Pedro de Almeida, 1st Marquis of Alorna, and the estate maintains its own identity to this day, where history, landscape, and wine coexist side by side.

Today, Quinta da Alorna remains in the hands of the Lopo de Carvalho family, for five generations, preserving a legacy that blends tradition with a contemporary approach to viticulture and oenology. The proximity to the Tagus River helps shape the character of the wines, bringing freshness and balance, while the diversity of grape varieties allows for the creation of very distinct profiles, from aromatic whites to deeper, more gastronomic reds.

On the estate, the vineyard occupies approximately 180 hectares and coexists with a striking natural environment, in a setting that reinforces the heritage aspect of the brand. The result is wines with a sense of origin, well-designed for the table and capable of showcasing different expressions of the Tejo region.

Exploring Quinta da Alorna is discovering a producer with centuries of history, but with a contemporary outlook: accessible wines for everyday enjoyment, reserve wines for special occasions, and a signature that combines elegance, consistency, and authentic Ribatejo character.
