Description

Philosophy: Expressing the purity of the grapes through irreverent winemaking techniques.

Origin: Grapes from old vines, aged over 60 years, from Baixo Corgo in the Douro.

Vinification: Manual harvest in 20Kg boxes. Reception with destemming and partial crushing, completing with whole bunches, followed by a cold maceration for 2 days. Fermentation with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel vats at controlled temperature in order to obtain an elegant and smooth wine, without too much extraction.

Stage: Stainless steel and bottle.

Tasting:

A translucent, brilliant ruby color, with the harvest year not allowing for excessive color extraction. Aromas of forest fruits, currants, and black plum, enveloped in a blend led by vanilla. Notes of freshness, reminiscent of mint and pine, appear secondarily after aeration in a decanter.
