Casas Altas originates in Souropires, Pinhel, in the Beira Interior region, where high-altitude vineyards, granitic soils, and large temperature variations give rise to wines with a fresh, mineral, and gastronomic profile.
🍇 Region: Beira Interior, Pinhel sub-region.
🌱 Varieties: Rufete.
🌿 Vineyards: Rufete vineyard on granitic sandy soils, on a slope at approximately 600 meters altitude.
🛠️ Winemaking: Total destemming and fermentation in truncated conical stainless steel vats for about two weeks with temperature control.
⏳ Stage: After malolactic fermentation, aged in stainless steel until bottling and light filtration.
👃 Organoleptic Test:
- Color: elegant and subtle ruby.
- Aroma: ripe fruit and the freshness of high altitude.
- Palate: light, fresh, gastronomic and with good acidity.
⏳ Potential for Evolution: Wine with altitude freshness and structure to evolve in the bottle, according to the profile of each variety.
