Description
Casas Altas originates in Souropires, Pinhel, in the Beira Interior region, where high-altitude vineyards, granitic soils, and large temperature variations give rise to wines with a fresh, mineral, and gastronomic profile.
🍇 Region: Beira Interior, Pinhel sub-region.
🌱 Grape varieties: Síria, Fonte Cal and Arinto from old vines.
🌿 Vineyards: Old vineyards between 60 and over 100 years old, on slopes of about 650 meters, on poor granitic soils.
🛠️ Winemaking: Hand-harvested, grape selection, gentle pressing, natural settling, and fermentation in stainless steel at low temperature.
⏳ Stage: Aging in stainless steel tanks with fine sediment processing until bottling.
👃 Organoleptic Test:
- Color: citrine.
- Aroma: floral, white fruit, lemon and mineral notes.
- Palate: fresh, mineral, textured and persistent.
