Founded in 2001 by Sandra Tavares da Silva and Jorge Serôdio Borges, Wine & Soul works with old Douro vines using a minimal intervention approach, seeking wines of great purity, concentration and elegance.

👨‍🔬 Winemaker: Sandra Tavares da Silva & Jorge Serôdio Borges.

🌱 Grape Varieties: Field blend of over 40 native grape varieties from Rio Grande do Sul.

🛠️ Winemaking: Harvested on September 26th, with selected grapes and foot-trodden in stone lagares, followed by aging in old Port wine casks.

⏳ Aging: Approximately 19 months in old port casks before bottling.

🌿 Vineyards: 91-year-old vineyard with a field blend of native Douro grape varieties.

🧪 Analysis:

• pH: 3.5
• Total extract: 129 g/L

👃 Organoleptic Tasting Notes: Impressive deep purple-black color; intense aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant, and wild berries; palate with ripe tannins, excellent structure, notes of violet, mint, and complex fruit.

⏳ Potential for Evolution: A vintage with enormous potential, rated 94 points by Wine Enthusiast.
