🍇 Region : Douro (Port Wine)
🌿 Vineyards : Traditional red grapes harvested by hand in different sub-regions of the Douro.
🛠️ Winemaking : Grapes foot-trodden; fermentation stopped with grape brandy; aged in very old wooden casks; bottled without fining or filtration (traditional LBV).
⏳ Aging : In very old wooden casks and small vats, until bottling.
🧪 Analysis :
- Alcohol content: 20%
👃 Organoleptic Test
Deep ruby color; aromas of stewed black fruits, pepper, cardamom and cassis; velvety tannins, balance and a long, fruity finish.
⏳ Potential for Evolution : Excellent aging potential, evolving in the bottle with greater aromatic complexity.
🍽️ Serving : Serve at 16–18ºC. Bottling date: July 2023. Once opened, keep tightly closed in a cool, dark place.
