Bustorff Ferreira
Bustorff Ferreira is a small family-run wine producer based in Peredo dos Castelhanos, in the municipality of Torre de Moncorvo, in the heart of the Douro Superior region. Pedro Bustorff Ferreira's project stems from a family connection to the land and a clear desire to interpret the region with a contemporary language, prioritizing low-intervention wines with a very distinctive identity.
The vineyards are located at an altitude of approximately 400 meters, in schist soils. The work is based on manual harvesting and minimally invasive winemaking. For red wines, fermentation may occur in granite lagares; for white and rosé wines, the approach seeks to preserve freshness, tension, and aromatic expression, with aging in stainless steel on fine lees.
Pardala and Estrela, two Mirandese donkeys belonging to the family, lend their names and image to several of the producer's wines. This connection is not merely visual: it brings the project closer to the culture of the Miranda region and reinforces a genuine narrative, deeply linked to the place. Contemporary labels accompany wines that seek to showcase the Douro Superior region with freshness, balance, and personality.
