Herdade da Rocha
Herdade da Rocha is located in Crato, in the district of Portalegre, along the slopes of Serra de São Mamede. The Rocha family project began with the purchase of the property in 2006 and advanced to the planting of the first vineyard, with 4.5 hectares, in 2009. fresh and mineral profile. The first vineyard was dominated by Alicante Bouschet and Syrah. In 2010, a second installment of 4 hectares emerged, with a bet on Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca. In 2011, the white varieties with Arinto and Alvarinho were reinforced. Herdade da Rocha launched the first harvest in 2012, in a limited series of 1,350 bottles, and the first winemaking in the property took place in 2015. Today, Herdade da Rocha associates wine production with a wine tourism project that includes Cellar, wine experiences, Boutique lodge lodge and restaurant. The presence of deer and deer on the property and the proximity of the Serra de São Mamede reinforce the unique character of this Crato project, where wine, landscape and hospitality are part of the same experience.
