Origin and History
Encosta de Sende is a project initiated by Sérgio Diz Afonso more than 20 years ago on the slopes of Sende, in Cambeses, Monção. Production is limited and family-run, with approximately 2 hectares of owned and leased vineyards, in sandy-loam soils rich in flint, at an average altitude of 100 meters. The historical presence of the Alvarinho grape variety in the region reinforces the commitment to tradition and quality.

Winemaking

• Grapes harvested by hand and processed immediately.
• Stainless steel fermentation between 18–22 °C
• Aging on fine lees with periodic bâtonnage.
• Bottled 6 months after harvest.

• Aroma: Fruity, elegant, with tropical and citrus notes.
• Visual: Clear, bright, straw/lemon color
• Palate: Complex, full-bodied, mineral, fresh and long finish.
