Description
On the slopes of the Upper Douro, at altitude and in soils that are a transition between schist and granite, Colinas do Douro seeks wines of great precision, freshness and terroir identity.
🍇 Region: Douro Superior, with vineyards between approximately 450 and 650 meters of altitude.
👨🔬 Winemaker: Jorge Rosa Santos and Rui Lopes.
🌱 Grape varieties: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinto Cão, Tinta Roriz and Sousão.
🛠️ Winemaking: A blend of several plots from the Douro Superior region, designed for a classic, balanced profile with increasing complexity on the palate.
⏳ Aging: 12 months in French oak barrels, followed by further aging in the bottle.
🌿 Vineyards: Plots in granitic and schistous soils, with altitude being a determining factor for the overall freshness.
