Description

Wine made from Alvarinho grapes exclusively from Quinta da Torre in Monção. This wine expresses the potential of the sub-region and its queen variety, as well as the study of this fermented and barrel-aged variety. This wine comes from Quinta da Torre where we managed to do a differentiated work in relation to the diversity of soils that exists in the place.

Grapes harvested manually in small boxes and transported to the cellar in a short time. Very gentle pressing of de-stemmed whole grapes. Long clarification with cold. Fermentation in used 400 liter French oak barrels. Aging in these barrels for 9 months with bâtonnage on total lees. Aging for 9 months in bottle.

Tasting:

Very delicate floral aroma typical of the grapes from Monção wrapped in an austere minerality. It also presents a very evident citrus fruit accompanied by a slight caramel. In the mouth it shows a sharp acidity with great freshness. Fruity notes along with nuances of wood and the slight noble bitterness typical of the variety. Persistent and elegant.
