Quinta do Piloto Garrafeira Tinto 2015 Setúbal Tinto 75cl

Quinta do Piloto Garrafeira Red 2015 is a true oenological jewel, created in honor of the founder of Quinta do Piloto, Humberto Cardoso. Produced from old Castelão vines, this wine pays tribute to the Cardoso family's tradition and winemaking excellence, with an extremely limited production of just 300 bottles.

Tasting notes:

• Color: Intense and deep garnet.
• Aroma: Remarkable complexity with layers of spices such as black pepper, tobacco and subtle notes of Mediterranean vegetation and a touch of tar.
• Taste: Elegant and structured, with firm but polished tannins. The balanced acidity provides freshness and prolongs the aftertaste, revealing notes of black fruit and a toasted touch.

Winemaking and Aging:

• Region: Palmela, Portugal.
• Grapes: 100% Castelão (old vines).
• Harvest: Manual, in the 3rd week of September.
• Vinification: Fermentation in Algerian amphorae, followed by aging for 16 months in French oak barrels and 5 years in bottle, ensuring perfect evolution and unique complexity.

Harmonization:

Ideal to accompany haute cuisine dishes such as game meat, roast lamb dishes, aged meats and aged cheeses. Also excellent for moments of celebration and slow tasting.
