Quinta da Pellada Mulher Nua 2021 is more than a wine — it is a tribute to the natural elegance and pure complexity of Dão , created by Álvaro Castro , one of the greatest ambassadors of Portuguese viticulture. Inspired by the philosophy of the iconic Pelada 2003, this wine is born from a minimalist and respectful approach to the vineyard and its terroir.
Produced from 70-year-old vines, at an altitude of 550 meters, in granite soils with clay and sand lines , this wine is composed of 70% of a field blend of 48 grape varieties from Vinha Velha da Quinta da Pellada, and 30% of Touriga Nacional from plot 5 — a rare and deeply expressive combination.
Vinification is carried out with spontaneous fermentation and prolonged aging of 36 months in used French oak barrels (400L) , followed by bottling by gravity , without filtration or unnecessary interventions. The result? A naked, direct, vibrant and absolutely charming wine.
Tasting Notes
👃 Aroma: Delicate and pure, with subtle notes of wild fruits, dried flowers, mountain herbs and a light granite minerality.
👅 Mouth: Silky and fluid texture, with firm acidity, very fine tannins and an elegant, long and perfumed finish, marked by the authenticity of the blend of ancient grape varieties.
