LOUca 2019 is a signature white from Alentejo, created by winemaker Luís Louro , which pays homage to his boldness and passion for experimentation. Produced from 100% Arinto grapes, it originates from vineyards cultivated in schist and limestone soils and is a pure expression of the Estremoz terroir.
The winemaking process is meticulous: the must from the first pressings went directly into new 500L barrels without clarification, while the remainder fermented in used barrels after natural decantation . The extended 9-month aging in French oak gives the wine depth, unctuousness, and great aromatic complexity.
In the glass, it reveals a bright citrus color , elegant aromas of white fruits, mineral notes, and a subtle touch of well-integrated wood . On the palate, it is vibrant, with excellent acidity, a creamy texture, and a lingering finish .
Food pairing suggestion: Ideal with more structured dishes such as baked fish, roasted octopus, cured cheeses or sautéed mushrooms.
