Monte Branco 2021 is a regional white wine from Alentejo that expresses the authenticity and character of the Estremoz terroir, under the vision of winemaker Luís Louro . Originating from schist and limestone soils, this wine is a celebration of the diversity of traditional Portuguese grape varieties and innovation in winemaking.
Made from Arinto (40%) , Rabigato (30%) , Esgana Cão (20%) and Galego Dourado (10%) grape varieties, this white wine was fermented using two distinct methods: initial fermentation at a controlled temperature and co-fermentation in used French oak barrels , thus revealing a more structured and complex profile. The extended aging of 10 months in 600L barrels and battonage for 12 weeks give the wine body, texture and great gastronomic potential.
When tasting, it stands out for its aromatic elegance , with citrus, floral, and mineral notes , complemented by firm and balanced acidity. A white with depth, freshness, and a long finish , ideal for lovers of white wines with complexity and character.
Pairing: Excellent with oven-baked fatty fish dishes, cod, cured cheeses and Mediterranean cuisine.
