The Insula Chão de Lava AA 2023 Rosé is an elegant and surprising wine, produced on the legendary Pico Island in the Azores. Created from grape varieties such as Saborinho, Touriga Nacional, Syrah, Merlot, and other local varieties , this rosé comes from vineyards planted in scoriaceous volcanic soils known as " Chão de Biscoito ," which give the wine a fresh, saline, and mineral profile.

With only 3,000 bottles produced , this limited edition is a true Azorean gem. The Atlantic climate, combined with the altitude of Pico Mountain and the southern exposure, produces a structured, persistent rosé with a strong identity. A wine from winemaker Paulo Machado , who translates the unique terroir of the vineyards at the foot of the mountain into the bottle.
