Herdade da Anta de Cima Argilla Branco 2024 Alentejo White 75cl

ARGILLA BRNCO MMXVII This wine originates in the Montargil mountains, in the Alto Alentejo region, at the Herdade da Anta de Cima estate, owned by the Tenreiro family, in a temperate climate with an average annual rainfall of 650mm, and on Mediterranean clay soils. At Anta de Cima, the last vineyards were uprooted in the 1950s, and as a testament to this, the old clay amphorae cellar still stands. In [year], the vineyard was revived, and in [year] the first Argilla wines, white and red, were produced. THE HARVEST OF [YEAR] We characterize the year [YEAR] as a rather atypical and challenging year from a production standpoint. With a winter that had well below-normal rainfall, followed by a spring and summer with very hot temperatures and large temperature spikes, resulting in quite irregular ripening and vineyards under water stress. • Aroma: Fresh nose with a great balance between notes of fruit, vegetables and minerals: grapefruit, herbs and chalk.
• Palate: A palate with good volume and very fresh acidity, with prominent notes of herbs and fruits, along with some spices in a fresh and long finish.
