Herdade da Anta de Cima Talha Argilla Tinto 2018 Alentejo Tinto 75cl
Description
ARGILLA TINTO MMXVII This wine originates in the Montargil mountains, in the Alto Alentejo region, at the Herdade da Anta de Cima estate, owned by the Tenreiro family, in a temperate climate with an average annual rainfall of 650mm, and on Mediterranean clay soils. At Anta de Cima, the last vineyards were uprooted in the 1950s, and as a testament to this, the old clay amphorae cellar still stands. In [year], the vineyard was revived, and in [year] the first Argilla wines, white and red, were produced. THE HARVEST OF [YEAR] We characterize the year [YEAR] as a rather atypical and challenging year from a production point of view. With a winter that had much lower than normal rainfall, followed by a spring and summer with very hot temperatures and large temperature spikes, resulting in quite irregular ripening and the vines experiencing water stress. These grapes were harvested manually, for the first time since our first harvest, in the second half of August. Producer: Herdade da Anta de Cima Winemaker: Paulo Tenreiro and Nuno Mira do Ó

- Aroma: A young and fresh profile with excellent expression of red fruit, a clean nose.
- Palate: Good tannins, fine and elegant with a persistent, fresh and somewhat mineral finish. The fruit and herbal notes are always present in a long finish, which provides excellent gastronomic pairings, such as with red meats, grilled meats and meats with some fat.
