H.M. Borges Boal 15 Years Medium Sweet Madeira 75cl

Description

A semi-sweet Madeira wine from HM Borges, made from the Boal grape variety, with a classic profile and great balance between acidity, sweetness and aromatic complexity.

🍇 Region: Madeira (Madeira Island, Portugal)

👨‍🔬 Winemaker: Ivo Couto

🌱 Varieties: Boal

🛠️ Winemaking: Destemmed and pressed grapes, with fermentation in stainless steel tanks under strict temperature control. Fermentation is stopped by the addition of neutral wine alcohol, in keeping with the semi-sweet style of the wine.

Aging: Aged in oak barrels, with an average age of 15 years, combining French and American wood and, in some batches, partial aging in stainless steel.

🌿 Vineyards: Vineyards located mainly on the island of Madeira, in volcanic and basaltic soils with a clayey texture, acidic and rich in organic matter, benefiting from a mild subtropical climate, with hot summers, temperate winters and close proximity to the sea.

🧪 Analysis:
Alcohol content: 19%

👃 Organoleptic Test:
- Color: Amber hue with brownish nuances and orange highlights.
- Aroma: Aroma Palate
- Palate: On tasting, it is a semi-sweet, clean and harmonious wine. Acidity and body.

Potential for Evolution: High potential for evolution in the bottle, typical of great Madeira wines, remaining in perfect condition for many years after bottling.

🍽️ Serving: Serve between 13ºC and 16ºC, ideal as a digestif or accompanying desserts, dried fruits and strong cheeses.
