H.M. Borges Verdelho 10 Years Medium Dry Wood 75cl

Description

HM Borges' semi-dry Madeira wine, made from the Verdelho grape variety, with a classic profile and excellent balance between acidity, sweetness and aromatic complexity.

🍇 Region: Madeira (Madeira Island, Portugal)

👨‍🔬 Winemaker: Ivo Couto

🌱 Grape varieties: Verdelho

🛠️ Winemaking: Destemmed and pressed grapes, with fermentation in stainless steel tanks under strict temperature control. Fermentation is stopped by the addition of neutral wine alcohol, in keeping with the semi-dry style of the wine.

Aging: Aged in oak barrels, with an average age of 10 years, combining French and American wood and, in some batches, partial aging in stainless steel.

🌿 Vineyards: Vineyards located mainly on the island of Madeira, in volcanic and basaltic soils with a clayey texture, acidic and rich in organic matter, benefiting from a mild subtropical climate, with hot summers, temperate winters and close proximity to the sea.

🧪 Analysis:
Alcohol content: 19%

👃 Organoleptic Test:
- Color: amber with golden undertones and orange reflections.
- Aroma: Aroma Palate
- Palate: On tasting, it presents itself as a semi-dry wine, with good acidity and body.

Potential for Evolution: High potential for evolution in the bottle, typical of great Madeira wines, remaining in perfect condition for many years after bottling.

🍽️ Serving suggestion: Serve slightly chilled, between 13ºC and 16ºC, as an aperitif or accompanying appetizers, dried fruits, rich soups, or medium-aged cheeses.
