Description
Produced from centuries-old vines planted in limestone soils in Bairrada , Giz Vinhas Velhas Rosé 2023 is an authentic, fresh and deeply mineral wine. Made with the Baga grape variety, a symbol of the region, this rosé with a unique character faithfully expresses the poor and stony terroir from which it comes.
With a limited production and a philosophy of minimal intervention, this wine is born from a commitment to nature, resulting in a structured, elegant rosé full of personality .
Tasting notes:
- Aroma: Fine notes of wild strawberries , pomegranate , guava and grapefruit , with subtle hints of vanilla, spices and brioche giving aromatic complexity.
- Palate: Fresh, mineral and elegant, with excellent acidity and depth. It shows structure and persistence, perfectly reflecting the limestone profile of Bairrada .
Winemaking:
- Manual harvest (September 19, 2023)
- Soft pressing of the whole bunch
- Fermentation in used oak barrels , with regular bâtonnage
- Aging for 10 months in barrels with natural stabilization
- Limited production : 1,440 bottles
