Description
GIZ Ruptivo was born from an author's project developed in parallel with the work of recovering old vines in Bairrada. This limited edition seeks a bold and unexpected expression of the Pinot Noir variety in the region, with only 483 bottles produced.
🍇 Region: Bairrada, with the geographical indication Beira Atlântico.
👨🔬 Winemaker: Luis Gomes.
🌱 Grapes: Pinot Noir.
🛠️ Winemaking: Grapes harvested on August 18th and fermented in a traditional lagar (wine press).
⏳ Aging: 18 months in a single used 500-liter French oak barrel, with natural stabilization over two winters, followed by two years of bottle aging.
🌿 Vineyards: Grapes from partner producers in the Bairrada region.
👃 Organoleptic Tasting Notes: A Pinot Noir of singular character, elegant and expressive, designed to reveal a distinct interpretation of the variety in the Atlantic terroir.
⏳ Potential for Evolution: Ready to enjoy, with the structure to continue evolving in the bottle.
🍽️ Serving suggestion: Serve slightly chilled, between 15 and 17 °C. Pairs well with poultry, veal, mushrooms, oven-baked dishes, and medium-intensity cheeses.
