Anselmo Mendes Non-Conventional 2012 Douro Red Wine 75cl
Description
Pardusco was the name given to red wines with little color, moderate alcohol content and that traveled well, that is, aged well. At the time they still did not have the name Vinho Verde and later to distinguish themselves from these they called it “mature wine from Monção”.
Hand harvested in perfect state of maturation. Total destemming and cold skin maceration. Long fermentation at low temperature. Malolactic fermentation done in full.

Tasting:
Open ruby color, complex aromas of aging in wood, wild berries and dried herbs. In the mouth it is fresh and structured with well-worked tannins and a long-lasting finish with secondary aromas of cigar box, anise and mint.
