Description

Insula Licoroso 10 Years is a winemaking gem from the Azores, produced from Verdelho grapes grown on old vines planted by the sea in traditional corrals on the island. With a meticulous process that involves interrupting fermentation with selected grape brandy and aging for 10 years in old oak barrels , this liqueur reveals all the richness and identity of Atlantic viticulture.

Golden in color with greenish reflections , it presents a complex nose of ripe citrus fruits, honey, almonds, and iodized notes . On the palate, it is silky and textured , with a sweetness perfectly balanced by vibrant acidity and a very persistent saline finish – characteristics that make it a unique fortified wine in Portugal.
