A&D Wines Singular 2024 Vinho Verde White 75cl
Description
Singular aims to highlight the "unique characteristics" of each vintage through the most appropriate combination of grape varieties to be blended with our old vines. Quinta de Santa Teresa is also unique due to its geographical location, right on the border between the Vinho Verde and Douro regions.
Features
- 🪨 Soil type: Granitic
- ⛰️ Altitude: 100m - 320m
🛠️ Winemaking
The grapes arrive at the winery in 24kg boxes. They undergo manual selection followed by destemming, skin maceration, and gentle pneumatic pressing. The must ferments primarily in stainless steel tanks at low temperatures, with 10% fermented in wooden barrels. After fermentation, the wine undergoes prolonged aging in vats with bâtonnage. Light stabilization and filtration follow. No animal products are used in the process.
👃 Organoleptic Test
The nose hints at the wine's complex profile. Notes of smoke, white pepper, and stone fruit. On the palate, it confirms a multi-dimensional character, with several elements standing out: a saline side, pronounced acidity nestled within a broad mouthfeel, and subtle hints of oak. Engaging throughout the tasting, it finishes as luscious as it is elegant.
