Horácio Simões Reserva Red 2022 is an excellent wine produced in DOC Palmela , one of the most prestigious wine regions in Portugal. Made from the Castelão grape variety, coming from vineyards over 80 years old , this red reflects the tradition and unique character of the Palmela terroir.
Tasting notes:
- Color: Loaded and deep garnet.
- Aroma: Intense and complex, with fruity notes and an elegant combination of natural aromas typical of the Castelão grape variety.
- Taste: Fresh, deep and voluminous, with excellent structure and balanced tannins.
- Aftertaste: Long, aromatic and persistent.
Harmonization:
Ideal to accompany red meat dishes, roasts, game meats and cured cheeses. Serve between 14ºC and 18ºC to bring out its full potential.
Winemaking and Aging:
- Vinification Method: Fermentation in a stone press with temperature control, followed by malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels.
- Aging: One year in half French oak barrels, giving complexity and structure.
