Description

HM Borges' semi-dry Madeira wine, made from the Tinta Negra grape variety, with a classic profile and excellent balance between acidity, sweetness and aromatic complexity.

🌱 Grape Varieties: Tinta Preta

🛠️ Winemaking: Destemmed and pressed grapes with controlled fermentation and temperature, following the traditional open vat method. Fermentation is stopped by the addition of neutral wine alcohol, preserving the semi-dry profile characteristic of Madeira wine.

Aging: Prolonged aging in French and American oak barrels, using the traditional stonemasonry process, until it reaches a high level of complexity.

🌿 Vineyards: Vineyards located mainly on the island of Madeira, in volcanic and basaltic soils with a clayey texture, acidic and rich in organic matter, benefiting from a mild subtropical climate, with hot summers, temperate winters and close proximity to the sea.

Alcohol content: 20.0%

👃 Organoleptic Test:
- Color: Bright amber with golden nuances and orange reflections.
- Aroma: Complex aromas of dried fruit, caramel, spices, and toasted notes typical of cask aging.
- Mouthfeel: On the palate, it is presented as a wine with a taste

Potential for Evolution: High potential for evolution in the bottle, typical of great Madeira wines, remaining in perfect condition for many years after bottling.

🍽️ Serving suggestion: Serve slightly chilled, between 13ºC and 16ºC, as an aperitif or accompanying appetizers, dried fruits, rich soups, or medium-aged cheeses.
