Quinta do Crasto Porto 20 Anos 75cl
Description
Designation of Origin: Port
Grape Varieties: Old Vines - Field Blend
Winemaking:
The grapes, sourced from old vines, were transported in plastic food crates and subjected to rigorous sorting upon arrival at the winery. After gentle crushing without destemming, they were sent to a traditional lagar (wine press) where they were foot-trodden by men at regular intervals. Subsequently, grape brandy was added, thus stopping fermentation.
Aging:
Aged in Portuguese oak barrels for an average of 20 years. Made from selected Port wines originating from our best vineyards, this blend offers great complexity, stemming from the older wines, while the younger wines bring flavors of fresh fruit and vibrant acidity.
Exam Grade:
Amber in color, it presents excellent aromatic complexity where it is possible to highlight notes of orange peel, honey, dried fruit and a touch of iodine. On the palate, it has excellent volume and structure with a smooth and fresh texture. It finishes full of complexity, elegance and persistence.
