Description
Discover Arvad Red 2020 , an elegant wine that reflects the essence of the Algarve and the unique influence of the Arade river, whose history dates back more than 2,500 years, when the Phoenicians called this place "Arvad" – refuge.
Wine Characteristics
- Grapes : Touriga Nacional, Alicante Bouschet and Cabernet Sauvignon.
- Origin : Vineyards on the left bank of the Arade river, in Silves, with clay-limestone soils and a Mediterranean climate influenced by the Atlantic.
- Winemaking : Manual harvest into 15kg boxes. Fermentation for 10 days at 24ºC, with partial aging in French oak barrels for 14 months.
- Alcohol Content : 13.5%.
- Total Acidity : 5 g/L.
- pH : 3.65.
- Total Sugars : 0.3 g/L.
Tasting Notes
- Visual : Closed ruby color.
- Aroma : Elegant notes of ripe red fruits, black plums and balsamic aromas, complemented by spices and a touch of vanilla.
- Palate : Full and fresh, with a silky texture and a long, persistent finish, reflecting the proximity to the sea that gives it a unique freshness.
Harmonization
This wine is extremely versatile, ideal for accompanying starters, meat dishes or even being enjoyed alone. Serve at a temperature of 16-18ºC to enjoy all its complexity and freshness.
