Pêgo da Moura
Pêgo da Moura is a wine-growing project located in the Serra de Grândola, in the heart of the Setúbal region, on a property with historical records dating back to Roman times. At approximately 200 meters altitude and just 10 km from the Atlantic Ocean, it benefits from a unique terroir where the maritime influence is decisive in shaping the identity of the wines.
The vines are planted mainly in poor, old soils—schist or sandy, depending on the plot—forcing the roots to deepen in search of freshness. This characteristic, combined with cooler nights and proximity to the sea, allows for the production of balanced grapes with natural acidity and great aromatic expression.
At Pêgo da Moura, the focus is on valuing Portuguese grape varieties and honestly interpreting the terroir. Viticulture is conducted using Integrated Production methods, and winemaking prioritizes minimal intervention, respecting the raw material and the character of each plot.
The portfolio includes still wines, sparkling wines, and unique projects such as century-old ungrafted vineyards, always sharing a common signature: freshness, identity, and the ability to evolve.
