Grão Vasco Branco is a light and lively wine that combines the classic elegance of white Dão wines with the enormous versatility of daily consumption. Grão Vasco is a reference brand that provides the taste of authentic Dão wines. Wine-growing year: the climatic year was marked by extreme climatological factors, which affected the vegetative cycle. If, on the one hand, autumn was dry, on the other, winter and spring were cold and rainy, promoting diseases and forcing more intense work in the vineyard. The summer was quite dry and hot causing scorching and loss of production. Despite the scarcity of grapes caused by diseases and scalding, the grapes that entered the cellar were very healthy, producing very fresh and high quality wines.
Vinification
After destemming and gentle crushing, and pressing in pneumatic presses, the must, properly protected from oxidation through the use of inert gases, was subjected to static decantation at low temperature for a period of 24 hours, in order to reach the desired degree of clarity. The different varieties that gave rise to this must were then vinified separately in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature (16ºC) for about 15 days.
Maturation
White Grão Vasco is bottled after a short period of about 4 months in stainless steel vats.
